Flatfriends Challenge - Photo Inspiration

This month's challenge for Flatfriends is from a photo inspiration - colours Red and black stripes.
I chose one of Emma Canning's lovely images, I called her Santa Baby and coloured her with promarkers and Graph'it markers. Picked a black and white stripey paper matted it onto black, cut a red piece of cardstock and added a decorative edge. With the leftover stripey paper made a ribbon, added a bow and sentiment.  A really cool card I think.

More than One Fold Card - Polkdoodles Challenge

So this week Polkadoodles Design Team Challenge is : More than one fold card.  Ummm..... so I decided to do a gate fold card. I used backing papers, embellishments and digi images from the Home for Christmas CD Rom.  I coloured the little eskimo with Graph'it & Promarkers. I die cut an aperture in the middle of the card with a Spellbinder's Scalloped die and suspended her on a piece of red ribbon and adhered it to the back of the card. I added two of the little houses to the front along with a lovely dotty heart.  The Home for Christmas CD Rom is available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk
it is a must buy! I think it is my favourite out of the Polkadoodles Collection.

Creative Moments Challenge - Frame It

Hi there everyone.  This weeks challenge for Creative Moments is "Frame it".  I loved this frame, I know Thanksgiving is a long way off, but I love Autumn, Pumpkins and crispy cold mornings and the leaves turning red, orange, yellow and brown.  I coloured the pumpkins with my Promarkers and lightly dusted the background with panpastels. Added a sentiment,  leaves, hessian ribbon and an dotty embossed background.

My Gingerbread House

Hello everyone, today I have been playing with the new Polkadoodles CD Rom called "Home for Christmas which is available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk.  This is a fantastic CD Rom with so much on it. The papers, embellishments, digi stamps, houses are all fab and all my favourite.  Here is a little wooden bird house, which is my Gingerbread House which I covered with papers and embellishments and characters from the CD Rom.  This will be a present for eldest daughter who has just moved into a new house with her boyfriend and will be spending Christmas together for the first time. Hope you like it.

Backgrounds

Backgrounds -  I used five pan pastel colours to create this lovely background.  Phalto Blue, Turquoise Shade, Neutral Grey, Magenta and Yellow Orchid. I had different sponges for each colour and added the colours, starting with blue, then magenta etc. I did two 4 x 6 pieces of card the same and stamped a Stampin Up image on one, cut it out with a circle die
and matted onto another Spellbinders scalloped circle. I then matted the other piece on black and adhered the image to the card and card blank. I then die cut a butterfly and sentiment and used the pan pastels in the same way. A very simple but effective card.

Now this background is done using Graph'it markers.  Their challenge this week is backgrounds.
So I used the following pens : 7125,7105,6130,6120,4155,4110. I started with the darker shade and blended them down until I was happy with the result. I coloured two pieces of 4 x 6 and stamped an image from Stampin Up on to one of them and then cut it with a circle die. Cut out a Spellbinder scalloped circle in black and matted the image to it. The other piece I matted on back and adhered it to a scalloped white card. I stamped a sentiment and then cut out a butterfly and coloured it the same way.  I don't know which card I like the best do you?

I have entered this card in the Graph'it Marker Challenge : http://graphitmarkers.blogspot.com

First Time at Colouring Dark Skin

I wanted to make a card for my friends little girl who will be One at the end of this month.  I chose a
digi image from Mo Manning and thought I give it a go at colouring in.  I watched a you tube demo on colouring dark skin using Spectrum Noir pens, I don't have Spectrum Noir, I have Graph'it and Promarkers.  So I picked 4 markers from my Graph'it 4110 4115 3120 and 3210 and then slowly built up the colour.  I am pleased how it turned out, What do you think?

Head Girl

This is a special order made for a colleague - I used digi images from Pretty Tuff and Fredericka CD Roms available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk.  I coloured  Fredericka with Flexmarkers.

Special Orders - Birthday

I love this card I made for a friend's daughter's 18th Birthday, totally sums Megan up I think.
I used one of Mo Mannings die cut images.

This one, again is for my friend's daughter Megan. The image is from Time for Tea digis. I coloured her with my Graph'it marker pens.

A Cheeky Little Monkey's Cracker

Hello again folks,  this is such a fantastic little digi image from the Little Miss Muffet range, I just couldn't resist buying it.  So I thought I would enter this card into this week's Graph'it Marker Challenge "Red & Green".  Of course I coloured him with my favourite pens ever and cut him out and matted him onto some snowy cardstock and a Grand Spellbinder die and then onto a circle card.
added a sentiment and there he is! Let me know what you think of him xx

Flatfriends Challenge

This month's challenge was to use a card design layout. A simple and fresh layout.  I used one of Emma's lovely images where she has her brief case in hand.  This card could be a Good Luck card for starting college, university or new job.  I coloured her with Graph'it markers, used my pan pastels around the edges, adhered the image to some dotty papers, added a couple of flowers and a sentiment.
Of course I tied all the colours up and put them on a kraft cardstock card. Emma Canning's digis are available from www.polkadoodles.co.uk.

Nikky is offering people a FREE Angleberry digi to use in this weeks challenge which they need to email her for by Wednesday 5th September. People will be sent one of the images so it's not necesary for them to pick on before emailing. However to enter the challenge this week they MUST use that digi! First prize winner will win a mega prize bundle worth £50 .... !
